Mare Karina

Jure Kastelic (b.1992, Slovenia), artist, and Marta Barina (b.1993, Italy), producer in the contemporary art world, after living for the last ten years in London, they co-founded Mare Karina. A hybrid collaboration that operates in the middle ground between a gallery and an artist studio, leveraging bitcoin, and moving from project to project in different places in Europe, having worked until now in England, Slovenia, Tenerife, Tuscany, Veneto and Milan. In an organic way Mare Karina combines their life and work. They are looking for the ideal space to call home, both for them and for Mare Karina's future projects. As their research continues, these images show the period they lived and worked in Torre al Cerro from August to October 2021.
